Kenneth "Ken" Huddleson

January 21, 1947 — December 5, 2015

Kenneth "Ken" Paul Huddleston, 68 passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 after a three year courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

Ken was born January 21, 1947 in Brooklyn NY, and was raised by Paul and June Huddleston.

Ken survived the school of "hard Knocks" (as he liked to say) however, he never stopped learning and was continually bettering himself through hands-on-experience and life lessons. Always challenging himself with an "I'm not gonna let it beat me" attitude. Ken referred to himself as "Old-School",and what we lovingly call a real man's man. He enjoyed his oldies music and good company to share a drink or two with.

Ken went on to become an excellent welder, car body and paint shop repairman, small engine mechanic and general handyman. There was almost nothing he could not fix. He had a small shop behind his house that he referred to as "out-back" where everyone was welcomed and made to feel at home. "Grab a Stroh's and pull up a stool and stay awhile".

Ken retired after 20 years from the city of Warren's Water Department, having worked in the Waste Water Pollution Department as a repairman. He went on to earn his CDL license and became an operator, driving the large vac trucks. Prior to the water dept. Ken has also worked in the city jail as a cook and was fondly referred to as "Hopsing".

Ken is survived by six children: Julie, Chrissy, Wendy, Billy, Renee, and TJ. He also leaves one brother, Roger and one sister Kathy, both of Maryland. He had 13 grandchildren, although he loved them all, he was especially close to TJ's boys Mason and Carter.

Ken leaves many friends, but was closest to Jim Wilden who faithfully visited him weekly during his ordeal and his ex-wife and best friend Beulah (B) Mitchell, who along with Twila was beside him daily.

His last act of kindness was to donate his body to the Cleveland Clinic for cancer research.
