Kathleen D. Odell, 83, of Warren, died at home Friday, October 27, 2006. She was born March 23, 1923 in Bowling Green, Ohio, the daughter of Blaine and Alma Baisch Downs, and had lived in Warren most of her life.
Mrs. Odell was a 1941 graduate of Howland High School and had attended Kent State University. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Warren, where she had served as an usher and as president of United Methodist Women. She had worked for Atlas Powder in Ravenna during World War II, and later worked at Packard Electric for many years.
Surviving are her children: George (Mary) Odell of Pittsburgh, Pa., Susan (Ron) Armbruster of Warren, Deborah (William) Conrad of Warren, Thomas (Debbie) Odell of Pattonville, Tex., William (Patricia) Odell of Fowler, Mary Bigelow of Wappapello, Missouri, and Douglas Odell of Warren; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Norma Geist of Champion. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, James A. Odell, whom she married August 23, 1947 and who died March 8, 1978; and a brother, Hal Downs.
Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Oaks of First United Methodist Church officiating.
