Julia L. Stear

Warren, Ohio - Julia L. Stear, 93, died Monday, September 4, 2017 at Hospice House Poland, Ohio. She was born on July 23, 1924 in Lisbon, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dominic and Isolina Casagrande Andreatta.

Julia worked at Packard Electric Div. of GM and drove school bus for Champion Local School District. She was a long time member of the First Church of God in Newton Falls, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, member of the missionary ladies group and sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and bingo.

Memories of Julia will be carried on by son, Garry (Carolyn) Stear of Champion, OH, daughter, Cindy Dittman of West Farmington, OH, sisters: Mary Cullen of Phoenix, AZ, and Lucy Holko of Warren, grandchildren: Melissa (Douglas) Gorsline, Jason (Lisa) Stear, Kristin (Kaz) Unalan, Jeremy "Jay" Stear, Eric (MeLinda) Stear, Stephen Cowens, Lyndzi McCready, Matthew Stear, 13 great-grandchildren, and grand dog, Pippa.

She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Stear, sisters, Josephine Foutz, Eleanor Rehburg, Alma Burgoon, as well as brothers, Sylvio Andreatta and Fred Andreatta. Jullia also is preceded in death by her husband, Max Stear, whom she married in 1947. Max passed away in 2006.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 8, 2017 from 10:00 am til11: 00 am at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Services will be held at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Russell Young officiating. Services of final committal will follow at Meadow Brook Memorial Park in Champion.
