Judith Rae Carnes
October 30, 1945 — October 6, 2016
Judith Rae Carnes of Austintown, formerly of Mineral Ridge passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10:50 a.m. in Woodlands at Austinwoods. She was 70.
Judith was born in Youngstown on October 30, 1945, the daughter of the late Rocky and Rachel Helmick Carnes.
She was a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School. Immediately after high school graduation, Judith went to work on the line for Packard Electric. She retired in 1996 after 30 years of employment.
Ms. Carnes was of Presbyterian faith. She was very social and enjoyed playing bingo and trips to Mountaineer Casino with friends. Most importantly she cherished picnics, holidays, and the time she spent with her family.
Judith is survived by a son, Eric (Lonnie) Carnes of Liberty; a sister, Darlene (Ray) Mackendrick of Windham, OH; 2 granddaughters, Allyson and Erica. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by a brother Rodney Carnes.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Curtis Miller, pastor of New Hope United Methodist Church.
