Joyce Lea Woofter

Joyce Lea Woofter of Niles passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 5:33 a.m. in her residence. She was 61 years old.

Joyce was born in Buckhannon, WV on February 17, 1960, the daughter of Herman and Grace Calkins Woofter.

She was a 1979 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Ms. Woofter was employed in the dietary department of Continuing Healthcare of Niles for the past 11 years.

Joyce was of Baptist Faith. She cherished the time spent with family and friends and the memories they made together over the years. Most importantly she loved her grandchildren. Joyce liked collecting figurines of dolphins and had them displayed around her home for people to enjoy.

She is survived by her mother, Grace Woofter of Niles; 2 sons, Lesley Woofter and Micheal (Jamie) Woofter both of Niles; 2 sisters, Peggy Garcia of Niles, and Melissa Kroesen of Hubbard; 3 grandchildren, Micheal Jr., Mollie, and Madelyn.

In addition to her father, Joyce was preceded in death by three brothers, Herman Jr., Richard, and Raymond Woofter.
