Joyce Marie Pinter, 65, of Champion, died Friday, March 20, 2009 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 10, 1944 in Charleston, S.C., the daughter of James Edward, Sr. and Myrtle (Zapp) Bounds, and had lived in Trumbull County most of her life.
A graduate of Southington High School, Ms. Pinter retired from Packard Electric in 1999. She was a member of Light House Baptist Church, Eastern Star in Garrettsville, the Clover Leaf Square Dance Club, and was an avid animal lover.
Surviving are two children, Elizabeth Steele of Rockland, Maine and Joseph Edward Eugene Pinter of Warren; two grandchildren, David and Alexis Steele; two sisters, Betty (Elmer) Small of Newton Falls and Clemma (Ennis) Ferrell of French Camp, Mississippi; and a brother, James Edward, Jr. (Doreen) Bounds of Bay City, Texas. Her parents precede her in death.
Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2009 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Eastern Star services will be conducted at 5:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Kosciusko, Mississippi, with interment following in French Camp, Mississippi.
