Joseph Yurco, 85, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007 at his home in Warren, Ohio.
Joe was born February 23, 1922 in Mingo Junction, Ohio and served his country in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a self employed contractor for several years in the Warren area and retired from American Welding. Joe was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, and farm. Joe embodied the true definition of a man. He will be a part of us for the rest of our lives and will be deeply missed by everyone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Anne; sisters, Christine Buffone and Mary Tomochek.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Minnie; daughters, JoAnne Clisby of Lafayette, Indiana and Donna (Husband Jim) Krok of Warren; grandchildren, Chad Clisby of Houston, TX, Christopher (Wife Tammy) Weaver of Youngstown, Carly (Husband Matt) Lawrence of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Ryan Weaver of Warren; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brent, Christian, Drew and Nicholas; sister, Kate Manofsky of Detroit; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated, 5:00 P.M., Monday, July 16, 2007 at St. James Catholic Church, 2532 Burton Street SE, Warren, Ohio 44484. Friends are welcome to visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Cremation will follow. In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial contributions may be given to the St. James Building Fund.
