WARREN - Joseph A. Osburne, Sr., 77, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at his residence. He was born on September 21, 1937 in Carrollton, Kentucky, the son of the late Ben and Daisy Floyd Osburne.
Joseph was a 1955 graduate of Newton Falls High School. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served on the USS Randolph as a boiler technician. He retired after 44 years from Packard Electric as a master board man. He was a member of IUE-CWA Local 717, AMVETS, ITAM, and the Moose Lodge. Joseph enjoyed giving back to his community and even made a haunted house to support the Warren Western Reserve Band Boosters for several years. He liked to snowmobile, camp, fish, play cards, do puzzles, ride his motorcycle and watch NASCAR. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Memories of Joseph will be carried on by daughter, Kim (Duane) Campbell of Warren; daughter, Ashlee Osburne of New York; 3 grandchildren; and sister, Jean Carol Browning of Southington.
He was preceded in death by wife, Sharron Z. (Moore) Osburne, whom he married November 22, 1958 and preceded him in death on January 4, 2001; son, Joseph A. Osburne, Jr.; and grandson, Lonny Osburne.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren with a Prayer Service at 10:00 am. Services of final committal will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
