Joseph P. "Joe" LaPolla

Joseph P. "Joe" LaPolla of Niles passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 5:20 a.m. in Signature HealthCare of Warren. He was 62.
He was born January 12, 1952 in Warren, OH, a son of Dominic and Jean McCann LaPolla.
He was a 1970 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Following high school he was employed as a truck driver for the City of Niles Street Department where he held a Class B CDL for many years.
Joe was a member of Mt. Carmel Church. He enjoyed watching the news and sports, especially the Michigan Wolverines.
Mr. LaPolla is survived by 2 daughters, Jordana M. LaPolla of Cleveland, OH and Martina G. LaPolla of Niles; a son Dominic J. LaPolla of Cleveland, OH; 3 brothers, Samuel of Newton Falls, Michael and his wife Tina of Niles, and Paul and his wife Marsha of McDonald, OH; a grandson, Miles D. LaPolla. Joe is also survived by his golden retriever, Layla.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Tracy McCarthy LaPolla, who passed away in 2002. His Chocolate Labrador Merlin.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Kraszewski pastor of St. Stephen Church.
