Joseph George Grayson, 69, of Bazetta Township, died 6:10 PM Saturday, October 9, 2004 at home. He was born May 24, 1935 in Campbell, the son of the late Anthony and Mary Litch Grayson.
Mr. Grayson was a graduate of Mecca High School and had served in the U.S. Army. He had worked as a millwright at Copperweld Steel, retiring in 1988 after 29 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Warren and Cortland Moose Lodge #1012.
Surviving Mr. Grayson are his wife, Rosemary Stroup Grayson, whom he married July 2, 1960; a daughter, Joanne (Ken) Martin of Gaston, Oregon; a son, Randy (Laura) Grayson of Mecca; two grandchildren: Jen and A.J. Grayson, of Mecca; three sisters: Catherine (Phil) Davis of Mecca, Mary Ann (Bob) Popowich of Mundelein, Illinois, and Margaret Moore of South Carolina; and a brother, Anthony (Marcy) Grayson of Warren.
Preceding Mr. Grayson are his parents and a son, Jeffrey.
Services for Mr. Grayson will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Fr. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at McCardell-White-McFarland Funeral Services, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481.
