Jon D. Clark, 49, of Warren, died Monday, April 18, 2005 at home. He was born Tuesday, June 14, 1955, in Warren, the son of Elizabeth Cole Clark and the late Robert W. Clark.
Jon was a 1973 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a 1977 graduate of Ashland College. He had been a contractor and president of A.B. Cole Company, after his father and grandfather, who founded the company in 1915. Jon belonged to Christ Episcopal Church, the Buckeye Club, and Elks Lodge #295. He was past president of the Sigma Nu fraternity at Ashland College as well as the Builders Association of Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. He had been an Eagle Scout with Troop 11, and had belonged to the Warren Jaycees.
Jon is survived by his wife, Julie Gephart Clark, whom he married June 7, 1980; two sons: Christopher D. Clark of Oxford and J. Grant Clark of Athens; his mother, Elizabeth Clark of Warren; and two sisters: Derrell (Thomas) Wilkes of Boardman, and Robin Clark-Smith of Fairfield, CT.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483, with Rev. Fr. Robert Winter officiating. The family will meet with friends at the church after the service. Material contributions may be made to the family.
