John "Jack" Taylor

John "Jack" Taylor, 94, of Hendersonville, N.C. died at home July 31, 2011. He was born May 15, 1917 in Washington County, Vermont, and lived in Alabama and North Carolina most of his adult life.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Taylor had worked as a purchasing agent at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala. He was a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed doing side jobs for people.

Surviving are a sister, June Richie of North Carolina; a nephew, Vincent Richie of North Carolina; a stepdaughter, Sandra Krick of North Carolina; and a daughter-in-law, Beverly Pardee of Warren, Ohio. Preceding him in death are his wife, Nina (Stapp) Pardee Taylor, who he married in 1947 and who died February 18, 1994; and two stepsons, Jerry and Dennis Pardee.

Cremation has taken place. His urn will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, Ohio.
