John R. Swesey

John R. "Jack" Swesey, 65, of Warren, died 10:40 PM Sunday at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born August 17, 1940 in Bettar, Pa., the son the Paul and Gertrude Mellinger Swesey, and had lived in Trumbull County most of his life.

Jack worked as a truck driver for E.I.C.C., Inc. He enjoyed camping and fishing.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Eileen O'Marrah Swesey, whom he married August 29, 1981; four sons: John R., Jr. and Greg A. Swesey, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Daryll W. Swesey of Brookfield, and Kenneth Swesey of Williamsville, Mo.; two stepsons: Wayne C. Palm of Cortland and Stephen M. Palm of Warren; three stepdaughters: Marion P. Palm of Girard, Pamela S. Vaughn of Warren, and Eileen M. Mealey of Wellsburg, W.Va.; 35 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers; and five sisters. Preceding him in death are his parents; his stepmother, June Swesey; a stepson, James P. Palm; and a sister.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 24, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home.
