John Steven Semko Jr.

John Steven Semko Jr. of Warren passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 6:55 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was 64.

Mr. Semko was born in Warren on February 24, 1954, the son of the late John S. Sr. and Dorothy Nelson Semko.

He attended Warren G. Harding High School. John retired from Ohio Cement Company, where he was a block maker for 30 years.

John was of Protestant faith. He found enjoyment and relaxation when he was at his favorite fishing hole with his pole in hand. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Semko is survived by his wife, Suellen Fisher Semko, whom he married July 9, 1984; 2 sons, John S. (Jody) Semko III of Mecca, and Daniel L. (Dee) Padula Jr. of Weathersfield Twp; 3 sisters Debbi Sullivan of Niles, Donna (James) Damelio of Girard and Linda (Chuck) Cannistra of Girard; 12 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine King.

Calling Hours will be on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Internment will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
