John H. Rising

WARREN - John Harold Rising, 70, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital after a long illness. He was born on July 10, 1944 in Warren, the son of the late Harold and Margaret (Zwick) Rising.

John was a 1963 graduate of Warren G. Harding and had attended Kent State University. He worked as an advertising representative for the Tribune Chronicle for 30 years and 10 years as assistant mailroom manager for the Vindicator. He served in the Ohio National Guard. He was a member of the Tod Avenue United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir, Old Erie Lodge #3 where he was a Past Master in 1984, Eastern Star where he was Worthy Patron in 1986. John was an avid Cleveland Browns fans and enjoyed golf.

Memories of John will be carried on by his loving wife, Donna (Fleischer) Rising of Warren, whom he married December 20, 1966; sons, Keith (Denise) Rising of Warren, Brian (Amanda) Rising of Frederick, MD; sisters, Marilyn (Robert) Bosley of Niles, Joy Rising of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Alexandra, Melissa, Kelsey, Codie, Dillon, Randa, Shanna, Ethan; plus many other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, Warren. A Memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon.
