Lordstown, Ohio - John A. Goddard, 60, passed suddenly Friday, February 24, 2017 at his residence. He was born on July 27, 1956 in Canfield, Ohio, the son of the late Arden and Leah Rickart Goddard. .
John was a Hot Rod and automotive restoration artist. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Warren and former member of Campfire Street Rodders and Canfield Volunteer Fire Department. He was active in Boys Scout Troop 20 and the Lordstown Cider Committee and was a graduate of Canfield High School 1974
Memories of John will be carried on by wife, Nancy Stringer Goddard of Lordstown son, Vincent Goddard of Lordstown, brother, David (Sherry) Goddard of Canfield, Mark Goddard of Cleveland, brother-in-law, Tim (Polly) Stringer of Hebron, KY, nieces, Danielle and Amy, and nephew, Zachary.
Family will receive friends Friday, March 3, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am until 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church of Warren, 309 North Park Ave. Services will be held at the church Saturday March 4, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. David Cann, and Rev. Yesudas (Dan) Devadan officiating. Services of final committal will follow at Lordstown Village Cemetery. John's family suggests friends bring their Hot Rods to participate in John's procession to the cemetery.
