John Frederick Bauer Sr.

John Frederick Bauer Sr. of Hubbard passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 3:38 a.m. at Sharon Regional Medical Center. He was 84.

John was born in Warren on March 19, 1935, the son of the late Clearance J. and Marie E. Smith Bauer.

He attended Leavittsburg School Systems. Mr. Bauer was employed as an expediter recorder for 34 years at Copperweld Steel Company. John also owned and operated Bauer & Son’s Landscaping for many years and took great pride in his accomplishments as a landscaper.

Mr. Bauer enjoyed bowling and bowled on various leagues throughout his life. He was an avid NASCAR fan. John had a passion for animals especially the dogs he had throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Marie E. Welsch Bauer, whom he married January 31, 1956;  a daughter, Debra Annette (Thomas) McFarland of Hubbard; 3 sons, John F. Bauer Jr. of Niles, Gary Lee (Cynthia) of Brookfield, Kenneth Eugene (Patricia) Bauer of Vienna; 2 sisters, Evelyn Zeller of Cortland and Louise Galloway of Albertville, AL; a brother, Robert Bauer of Chesapeake, VA; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Jimmy, Paul, Dave, and Bill Bauer.

Calling hours will be on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services 614 Warren Ave Niles, OH 44446.

A prayer service will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Internment will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
