John T. Athya

Warren- John T. Athya , 90, of Warren, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at St Joseph's Health Center.
John was born June 12, 1925 in Apollo, PA to the late George and Bertha Smith Athya.

John proudly served his country as a Sgt. in the US Army during WWII.
He retired as an Artos Cutter Operator for Packard Electric Division of GM. He was a member of the Vandergrift, PA VFW and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Warren, Ohio.

Memories of John will be carried on by his daughters, Lucinda Athya of Silver Spring, MD and Marjorie Walker of Warren, Ohio.
Preceeding John in death are his wife, Margaret J. Athya, brother, Howard G. Athya, sister, Mary Margaret Murphy and his brother, James J. Athya.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, June 10, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM , with the service following at 11:00, with Rev. Rusty Cowden officiating.
