Jimmy W. Degraw of Warren, formerly of Niles, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:45 a.m. in the Cleveland Clinic. He was 52.
Jimmy was born in Tucson, AZ on August 16, 1963, the son of William and Demova Jean Hurst Degraw.
He graduated from Niles McKinley High School, following high school Jimmy went on to attend Kent State University Trumbull Campus.
Mr. Degraw was employed as a supervisor at Niles Expanded Metals for many years, most recently he was employed as an operations manager for National Oilwell Varco.
He was of Christian faith. Jimmy was a member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time in the outdoors, but most importantly he loved his family.
Jimmy served his country proudly in the United States Army where he achieved the rank of Supply Sergeant. Throughout his time in the military he had the pleasure of experiencing various locations including the jungles of Panama.
He is survived by his wife Tami Reed Degraw whom he married November 28, 1986; 3 daughters, Nicole (Matthew) Hansen of Niles, Lisa (Rick) Jordan of North Lima, OH and Cyndi (John) McCorkle of Liberty; a sister, Cathy Degraw of Warren; 8 grandchildren, Madison, Hannah, Roman, Maria, Ryan, Katie, Adele, and Landon; his step father, Charlie Gibson of Lordstown. In addition Jimmy is also survived by his friend and caregiver Lola Hall of Warren.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a grandson Ricky.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday October 9, 2015 in the funeral home. Full military honors will be rendered following the service.
