Jean Dunwoody

October 23, 1917 — December 31, 2010

Jean Taylor Dunwoody, age indeterminate and always youthful, was born in Warren, the
daughter of Ralph G. Taylor and the former Rena Boyes both from the Warren area.

After graduating from Harding High School and attending Miami University of Ohio, she
was a life long resident of Warren which she oft referred to as "the garden spot of the
world". After World War II she started married life living at the South View Apartments
along with several other young couples who would become her lifelong friends. She
raised a family and was active in the community. Mrs. Dunwoody was a 50 year
member of the women's auxiliary of Trumbull Memorial Hospital and also was a
volunteer for Planned Parenthood.

Later, Jean married Dr. William J. Dunwoody in 1973. Dr. and Mrs. Dunwoody were
enthusiastic golfers and decades long members of Trumbull Country Club where they
greatly enjoyed innumerable social outings with their many wonderful friends. Jean was
an avid and expert bridge player. Bridge was a passion and an outlet for her
competitive spirit and keen recall of detail.

After retirement, Dr. and Mrs. Dunwoody moved permanently to Delray Beach, Florida
where they had enjoyed seasonal trips over many years. After her husbands death in
2000, Mrs. Dunwoody established a sense of community for herself with many friends in
Florida.

Jean Dunwoody died at Harbor's Edge Center in Delray Beach on December 31,
2010, where she had resided during the course of a long illness. She is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law Dr. William T. and Cynthia G. Daugherty of Stuart, Florida and
nieces and nephews Connie Fason, Debbie Campbell, and Timothy Taylor all of
Lakeside, Ohio and Becky Roberts of Watkins, Colorado and David Taylor of
Crestwood, Kentucky.
