Jean E. Brugler

WARREN - Jean E. Brugler, 82, passed away on March 27, 2014 at Gillette Nursing Home. She was born on June 16, 1931 in Lakewood, OH, and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Dorothy Pethick Brooks.

Jean graduated from Andrews School for Girls in Willoughby, OH in 1950. She attended St. Luke Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1952. She was employed for 19 years with Dr. Jack Young, DDS in Warren. Jean was an active long time member of Grace United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She loved animals, enjoyed reading, bowling, playing cards, and spending time with all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her late husband, Richard, who passed away in January, 2014.

Memories of Jean will be carried on by her children; sons: David (Rebecca) Brugler of Bristolville; Eric (Chris) Brugler of Warren; Kurt (Becky) Brugler of Champion; daughter, Diane Sims of Lincoln, NE; sister-in-law, Barbara Young of Howland; grandchildren: Benjamen (Theresa) Brugler, Sarah (Adam) Brugler-Lewis, Josh Sims, Jonathan (Barbra) Sims, Ashley (Chase) Holmes, Dane (Stephanie) Brugler, Kelsey Brugler, Erin Brugler, Claire Brugler, Meredith Brugler, Seth Brugler, Haley Brugler, Faith Brugler, Kreig (Sarah Moon) Brugler, Max (Leslie Papp) Brugler; great-grandchildren: Kendall Brugler, Leia Brugler, Brenna Holmes and Greyson Holmes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, whom she married on December 22, 1951.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 30, 2014, from 2:00-4:00 pm at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, and, one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 starting at 11:00 am at Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave NW, Warren, OH 44485 with Rev. Glenn Hamilton officiating. Services of final committal and interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.

Her family suggests contributions be made in the form of donations to the Animal Welfare League, 545 Brunstetter Rd SW, Warren, OH, 44481.
