Janet Louise Simpson

Janet L. Simpson, age 86 of Warren, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 17, 1925 in Wheeling, WV, and was the daughter of James Ritz and Helen (Hopwood) Ritz.

Janet was a graduate of Wheeling High School, Class of 1943. Janet was best known for her love of life, being a wonderful wife and mother was her gift of life. In Janet's spare time she loved to travel and read books.

She married Jack L. Simpson, Sr., September 15, 1945, who survives. Also surviving is their son, Jack "Lee" Simpson, Jr. of Newton Falls. Preceding her in death are her parents, and a daughter, Debra Mason.

A private service was Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling, WV, with Minister Terry Siverd of the Cortland Church of Christ officiating.

Honoring Janet's wishes, there will be no public services. The family requests any material tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio, 44514.
