Janet Karen (Monroe) Morgan

Janet Karen Morgan of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 11:43 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Health Center. She was 65.

Mrs. Morgan was born on July 7, 1951 in Warren, the daughter of the late William and Johanna Jackson Monroe.

She was a graduate of Howland High School. After high school, Janet went on to obtain her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.

She was employed for many years as a nursing assistant for Shepherd of the Valley, Janet also worked as a custodian for Howland School Systems.

Mrs. Morgan enjoyed spending time with family at the Niles AMVETS Post 106. She was a wonderful cook especially baking. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and sewing quilts and clothing, crafts, and kept her house spotless. Janet had a green thumb for growing flowers. She was very independent and would take numerous trips to visit her daughter in North Carolina, where she enjoyed spending time at the beach. Family meant the world to Janet, especially spedning time with her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Joe) Nunu of Richlands, NC; a son, Chad (Holly) Morgan of Niles; 2 sisters, Cheryl Sembach of Howland, Tammie (Thomas) Fiest of Vienna; 3 brothers, Thomas (Linda) Monroe of Niles, Donald (Michelle) Monroe of Niles, David (Linda) Monroe of Howland; 6 grandchildren, Alixandrea L. Carsone, Isabella J. Nunu, Elias V. Nunu, Josephina L. Nunu, Abbigail M. Morgan, Miranda Crago. She is also survived by her former husband, Clifford Morgan.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her second husband, Michael Albanese; a brother in law, David Sembach.

At Janet’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.
