Jane E. Bucher

October 26, 1937 — July 2, 2017

Jane E. (Moore) Bucher, 79, Warren passed away on July 2, 2017. She was born 10/26/1937 in Brookville-Corsica, Pa. At the age of 5 she moved to Youngstown, OH where she attended school at Barfield Hillman Jr. High and Woodrow Wilson High School. Following high school, she enrolled in Youngstown State University and attained a BA Degree in Childhood Education. Jane was a member of Phi Mu Tau Kappa Epsilon.

She married James Bucher on June 18, 1960, moved to Warren, OH and taught school at Elm Road & Lincoln elementary schools. She also attended at Youngstown State University, obtaining her degree as a Registered Nurse. Upon graduation, she worked at Trumbull Memorial on multiple different units. She found her greatest enjoyment caring for the newborn babies on the mother/baby unit until retirement.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a choir member and Sunday school teacher. Jane was also a Cub Scout leader, den mother and a member of Friends Who Care, with her husband's assistance. She enjoyed visiting the homebound, nursing home, hospital patients and going to concerts with her husband.

Jane leaves behind three children, Brian (Sharlene) Bucher of Poland, OH, Dawnene Bucher of Greensboro, NC, and Linda (William) Stanko of Howland, OH, as well as her sister Marian Stalker of Fairlawn, OH. Also, survived by five grandchildren; Marissa and Melinda Bucher of Cleveland, Ohio, Sarah Stanko of Lakewood, Ohio, Alaina Stanko of Howland, Ohio and Parker Hutton of Greensboro, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Bucher and brother, Harold E. Moore (California).

Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, July 7, 2017 from 10am to 11am with service at 11:00 am at The First United Methodist Church, 309 N Park Ave, Warren, OH 44481 in the High Chapel.
