James A. Foster Jr. of Niles, passed away at 10:25 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016 in his residence after an extended illness. He was 67.
Mr. Foster was born on August 10, 1948 in Warren, the son of the late James A. Sr. and Ada Adkins Foster.
Following high school graduation, James proudly served his country in the Vietnam War as an Army Airborne Ranger.
He retired from Copperweld Steel after many years of employment as a working foreman in the 12 in. mill plant.
James enjoyed spending time in the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful cook and enjoyed listening to baseball and talk shows on AM radio. Most importantly he cherished the times he spent with family and friends.
Mr. Foster is survived by 5 children, James L. Foster Sr. of Niles, Jerry Foster of Columbus, Jamie Hydrick of Girard, OH, Jackie Gardner of Youngstown, and Angela Saniat of Akron; 11 brothers and sisters; 6 grandchildren, including James Foster II, with whom he made his home; 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Louise Hydrick.
