Irene R. Noland

Irene R. Noland, 88, of Warren, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born June 13, 1919 in Warren, the daughter of Adolph and Hilda (Pirtilla) Randa, and had lived in the Warren area her entire life.

Mrs. Noland was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She worked for the City of Warren as a secretary in the purchasing department at City Hall. After her husband's death, she worked as a secretary for Attys. Michael Scala and James Ries. A basketball player in her youth, she enjoyed ballroom dancing and was a member of the Finnish Club.

Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen J. (Robert) Gray of Bainbridge, and her son, Gregory S. Noland of Champion. Preceding her in death are her parents; her stepfather, Paul Muntter; her husband, Samuel G. Noland, who died October 11, 1981; and her son, Jeffrey S. Noland.

Services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Kelly Faulstich of Emmanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park.
