Ida M. Simmers

FOWLER - Ida M. Simmers, 84, died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Meadowbrook Manor in Fowler. She was born on February 22, 1930 in Newport News, Virginia, the daughter of the late Carey A. and Avis (Haughton) Martin.

Memories of Ida will be carried on by daughter, Janet Kuskovich of Macedonia, OH; daughter, Loretta (Robert) Castle of Canfield; son, Terry Lee Thornton of Cortland; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 9 great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Simmers; son, William C. Thornton, Jr.; infant son, Raymond; sisters, Evelyn Bryant, Mary Lufsey; and brother, Carey P. Martin.

Family will receive friends Friday, January 16, 2015 from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at the Warren Baptist Temple, 2093 Ewalt Ave NE, Warren. A Memorial Service will be at the church at 10:30 am with Rev. James Dittmar officiating. Inurnment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
