Howard M. Davis

Howard M. Davis, 91, of Warren, died Friday, June 2, 2006 in Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born Tuesday, May 9, 1915 in Canonsburg, Pa., the son of John and Louise Chisler Davis.

Howard worked 43 years as a foreman for Republic Steel. He was a lifetime member of the Warren Area Stamp Club, and was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan.

Surviving are four daughters: Barbara (John) Augenstein, Patricia (Paul) Brehm, Rosemary Banish and the late Rod Banish, and Penny (William) Shonk; four sons: William (Nancy) Davis, Dennis (Deborah) Davis, Blaine (Carolyn) Davis, and Larry (Wendy) Davis; 19 grandchildren,; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Halle Davis, whom he married October 27, 1938 and who died January 17, 1987; his parents; a daughter, Martha Davis, who died December 20, 1968; a brother, John Davis; and a grandson, Paul Augenstein.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 232 Seneca N.E., Warren, Ohio 44481,with Fr. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery. Friends may call 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
