WARREN, OH - Hope T. Van Meter, 51, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital ER on Saturday, December 22, 2012 after a long illness. Hope was born July 25, 1961 in Warren, OH to John and Josephine (Russell) Van Meter, Sr.
Hope attended Warren Western Reserve High School. She had lived in Keisterville, PA for several years before returning to Warren a year ago. She loved being a stay-at-home Mom to Jacob and enjoyed keeping her home clean. She was a very friendly person who would do anything to help someone, a volunteer at the local ball diamond concession stand and loved to shop. Hope attended the House of Prayer in Smock, PA.
Hope is survived by her son, Jacob Kuritz of Warren, OH; mother, Josephine Van Meter of Warren, OH; sister, Bobbie Jo Lloyd of Cherry Tree, PA; brother, Rodney (Charlotte) Van Meter, Sr. of Point Pleasant, WV; nephew, John (Jennifer) Van Meter, III of Warren, OH; fiancAC., Mickey Softa of Keisterville, PA plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John Van Meter, Sr.; brother, John Van Meter, Jr. and nephew, Rodney Van Meter, Jr.
Family and friends may gather on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 4 to 5 PM at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow on Friday at 5 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Marshall officiating.
