Herbert H. Daugherty, 92, of Warren, OH died at 7:45 AM, on Friday, June 24, 2005 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital-Forum Health. He was born March 25, 1913 in Warren the son of Bert and Zula (Baker) Daugherty.

Mr. Daugherty was a former Warren City Board of Education and Warren City Council member. He retired in 1978, after 42 years as the supervisor of Production Control at Copperweld Steel Corp. He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Deacon. He was a member of the Trumbull County Historical Society, Warren Buckeye Club, and Warren Olympic Club and enjoyed the outdoors.

He was a Mount Union College graduate with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He served the US Navy during World War II where he obtained the rank of Lt. JG, and served on the USS Destroyer Osmond Imgram.

He is survived by wife Betty Brown Daugherty whom he married October 5, 1991, son Herbert S. (Merilee) Daugherty of El Paso TX; daughter Shelley Ann (John) Wonders of Warren, grandsons Jesse (Jennifer) Wonders of Warren and Brian Daugherty of El Paso, TX and great granddaughter Leanda, He is also survived by a granddaughter in law Terri Lea Wonders of Charleston, SC.

Mr. Daugherty was preceded in death by his first wife Lucile "Shelly" Sheldon Daugherty, whom he married September 25, 1936, Brother John Daugherty and grandson Garrett P. Wonders.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be at The McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Monday 6-8 and Tuesday 10-11 in the church parlor. The Rev. Bert MGlawn and Rev. James Baer will officiate. Internment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
