Helen Frances Polta

Helen Frances "Fran" Polta, 81, of Niles, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at her residence. She was born April 25, 1924 in Oakmont, Pa., the daughter of the late Forest and Louise Kulick Hann, and had lived in Trumbull County since 1965.

Mrs. Polta was a 1942 graduate of Verona, Pa. High School and was of the Lutheran faith. She had worked as manager of Lawson's Dairy in Vienna for 16 years. She was an avid card player and enjoyed being a mother and a grandmother.

Surviving Mrs. Polta are three sons: Robert James (Rose) Polta of Vienna, Thomas Edward Polta and his companion Casey Davies of Fowler, and Timothy John (Sherry) Polta of Niles; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three nieces.

Preceding her in death are her parents; a brother, Forest "Woody" Hann; and two sisters: Jane Hann and Sarah Williams.

Services for Mrs. Polta will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2005 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Martin Hardy of First United Church of Christ, Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday.
