Helen Marie Jones

Helen Marie Jones (aka Fuzz / Fuzzy) Aged 82, passed away quietly in the night in her home under care of her loving daughter Michelle at her on July 29, 2024 in Youngstown / Struthers, OH. 

Born on July 20, 1942, Helen's life was marked by her deep affection for music, animals, and gardening. Her home was a sanctuary for her beloved pets, including her beloved pug, Siri, and a few cats, reflecting her compassionate nature. She passed away quietly in the night under care of her loving daughter Michelle at her home. Helen devoted much of her time to animal charity causes, monetarily supporting organizations like PETA and various local animal rescue facilities. 

Her garden was a testament to her love for plants and flowers, where she found great joy and solace. 

She is survived by her children, Mark Jones of Columbus, Michelle Burchfield of Struthers, and Michael Jones of Boardman. Helen was a cherished grandmother to many grandchildren and a beloved sister to several siblings spread across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. 

She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Stewart Anthony Jones. 

A gathering to celebrate Helen's life will be held on Saturday, September 21st, from 2 PM to 6 PM at Mill Creek Park's Bears Den Lodge. The event will be casual, with snacks and refreshments provided. Attendees are encouraged to share a smile, a laugh, and a hug in memory of Helen. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's memory can be made to PETA or any local animal rescue facilities, continuing her legacy of compassion and care for animals.
