Harry G. Mitchell

Harry G. "Mitch" Mitchell, 75, of Leavittsburg, died Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Mahoning Valley Hosptial in Warren. He was born March 2, 1930 in Girard, the son of the late John E. and Birtha Spangler Mitchell, and had lived in Trumbull County all his life.

Mitch attended Girard High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had worked as a platemaker for Cox Lithograph. He had been treasurer and a long-time active member of the Warren Booster Club. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, building model ships, and was a terrific amateur photographer.

Mitch is survived by his wife Roseann Robinson Mitchell, whom he married June 8, 1957; four sons: Michael (Judy) Hodak, David (Cindy) Mitchell, and Charles (Bea) Mitchell, all of Warren, and Andrew Mitchell of Leavittsburg; a daughter, Denise (Jim) Rodgers of Warren; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents and three brothers, Jack W., Eugene E., and Paul C. Mitchell.

Private services will be held. Material contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
