Chardon, Ohio - Harry "Les" Lester Brady, 93, formerly of Howland, passed peacefully away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Heather Hill Care Communities, after an extended illness. He was born on December 3, 1919 in West Union, WV, the son of the late Dennis and Dorotha (Costilow) Brady.

Les retired as a conductor from the B & O Railroad after 40 years. He also owned Brady and Minton Construction in the 50's. He was a graduate of Howland High School in 1937 and served as a Sergeant in the US Army during World War II.

He was a volunteer at the Trumbull County Red Cross and United Way having received the IB "Jim" Taylor Award for community service. He was a 32nd degree member of the Masons and was a Past Master of Carroll F. Clapp Lodge # 655 F&AM, Past President of the Trumbull Shrine and member of Morning Light Chapter #80 OES.

He would travel to remote lakes and areas in Canada and the US to hunt and fish and enjoyed going to his hunting camp in Tionesta, PA. Les loved to travel, mostly with the Central Christian Church Choir. He was a member of the Central Christian Church, Warren. He was also a skilled cabinet maker and built many projects for the church, Trumbull County Red Cross Chapter House and Children's Rehabilitation Center.

Cherished memories are left behind with daughters, Susan (David) Faulkner of Carbondale, CO; and Tamara (Alec) Pendleton of Cleveland; sons, Glenn (Fayth) Brady of Huffman, TX; and Philip (Rhonda) Brady of Orange, TX; granddaughters, Leslie Neal, Jamie (Joe) Kopacz, Samantha Pendleton, Allie (Demian) Bigelow, Rachel Brady; grandsons, Cameron (Michelle) Green, Sean (Brandi) Brady, Jeremy Brady, Joshua Brady, great-grandchildren, Junell Neal, Tee Jay Neal, Abby Green, Molly Green, Ashley Mack, Zach Mack, Isabelle Kopacz, Lia Kopacz, Bronwyn Scharsu, Zachary Bigelow, Owen Brady, Heavenly Brady, Logan Brady and Cheyenne Brady; a brother, Hugh V. Brady of Manistique, MI. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Glenna (Jackson) Brady on August 13, 2010; brothers, Charles Brady, John Brady, Reed Brady, H. Dexter Brady; sister, Alice Marlin.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 4:30pm till 6:30pm and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Carroll F. Clapp Lodge #655 F&AM will hold Masonic services Tuesday following the visitation. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 N. Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio with Rev. Steven Brown from Central Christian Church officiating . Committal services and internment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park, where Military honors by the American Legion Post #540 will be presented.

Material contributions may be made in his honor to the Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market Street, Warren, OH 44483.
