Harold R. Hurst

WARREN - Harold R. Hurst, 73, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born on March 25, 1942 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of the late Delbro and Jenny Cox Hurst.

Harold retired from General Motors-Lordstown Fab Plant as a Assembly Worker after 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, reading, especially westerns, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.

Memories of Harold will be carried on by wife, Katherine R. {Heath} Hurst of Warren, whom he married June 12, 1965; sons, Haril R. Hurst of Warren, Matthew L. (Christine M.) Hurst of Philadelphia, PA, Joseph A. Hurst of Warren; daughters, Julie A. (Victor) Serrano of Girard, Dorothy R. Hurst of Warren; daughter-in-law, Christia Peoples-Hurst; grandchildren, Haril Hurst, III, Ashley Hurst, Brittany Hurst, Cassaundra Hurst, Jeffrey Hurst, Clarissa Hurst, Joseph Q. Hurst, Landon Hurst, Connor Hurst, Maya Serrano, Malina Serrano, Ava Serrano; great-grandchildren, Caden, Ayl'a, Matthew, Makalynn; brother, James; sisters, Marie, Dorothy, and Barbara.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Lonnie, Floyd, Boyd, Don, Bill; and sister, Louise.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 6:00 pm.
