Harold Greer

Warren, Ohio - Harold C. Greer, 89, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born on March 8, 1926 in Johnston, Ohio, the son of the late William and Katie Shearer Greer.

Harold was employed for 41 years by Republic Steel Corporation as a Motor Inspector and Craneman on the BOF. Harold loved bowling, playing bingo, gardening and ice and roller skating.

Memories of Harold will be carried on by his daughter, Kathleen (William) Bixler and son, Jeffery Greer both of Warren. Also his step-daughters: Michelle Murcko of Washington Ct., OH, Lori (Dave) Beresik of Warren, Darlene Murcko of FL, and grandchildren: William J. Bixler, and Jennifer Stiner, great-grandchild, William G. Bixler

He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Greer, and his four sisters Sylvia Connolly, Blanche Lahner, Mary Thompson, Ethel Swick, and one brother George Greer.

Harold's family will receive friends Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 11:00 am until noon. A memorial service will follow at noon at The McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Services of final committal will follow at Johnston Township Cemetery.
