Guy A. Monaco, 82, of Newton Falls and formerly of Champion, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls. He was born June 20, 1923 in Mineral Ridge, the son of Samuel and Lucy Monaco.
Guy worked at Peerless Electric and was a watchmaker. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are his daughter, Mary Jean (Blaine) Szalaj of Berlin Center; his son, James Monaco of Warren; a granddaughter, Jaryn (Joe) Allen; and a sister, Margaret Monaco of Warren. Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife, Philomena J. Flask Monaco, whom he married August 11, 1945 and who died July 18, 2001.
At his request, there are no services or calling hours. Interment has taken place at All Souls Cemetery.
