Gregory Allen Boney

Gregory Allen Boney, 15, of Warren, died suddenly Monday, December 10, 2007 at home. He was born June 30, 1992 in Nashville, Tenn., the son of Arnett Edwin and Connie L. (Ray) Boney.

Greg was a sophomore at Warren G. Harding High School, where he was active with the Robotics team. He was also active in the ministries of First United Methodist Church in Warren and the Smithville Mennonite Church in Smithville. He enjoyed drawing and welding. He loved his cats and all animals, and especially loved his family.

He will be sadly missed by his mother of Warren; two brothers, Gary Thomas Matney and Robert Daniel Boney of Warren; his grandmother, Betty M. Ray of Sarasota, Fla.; his grandfather, Paul R. Ray of Baxter, Tenn.; his aunt and uncle, Brenda and Mitch Halperin of Sarasota; his uncle, Paul Russell Ray of Baxter; his special cousins, Rich, Velma, and Elijah Shetler of Orrville; his cousins: twins Claire and Sarah Mizen and Andrew Halperin of Sarasota, and Jordan Christian Ray of Baxter; and numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, and friends.

Services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2007 at First United Methodist Church, 309 N. Park Ave., Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Rick Oaks of First United Methodist Church and Rev. Todd Martin of Smithville Mennonite Church officiating. Friends may call 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Committal services and interment will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Smithville Mennonite Church Cemetery, and friends may call 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Smithville Mennonite Church. Material contributions may be made to the family of Gregory Allen Boney, 1145 Taylor St. N.W., Warren, Ohio 44485.
