Grace Montevideo

Grace Montevideo, age 79, of Niles, Ohio, died November 22, 2003 at her winter residence in San Juan Capistrano, CA. She was born March 21, 1924 in Italy the daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna (Angello) Giangardella.

Mrs. Montevideo was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, was a retired beautician, and enjoyed traveling. She was best known for her cooking and gracious hospitality.

She is survived by her husband, Salvatore N. Montevideo, whom she married October 9, 1948, along with four sons: John (Deborah) of San Clemente, CA., Michael (Karen) and Gregory (Mary) of San Juan Capistrano, CA, and Richard (Candy) of Dana Point, CA; 6 Grandchildren: Matthew, John, Michael, Amanda, Kevin and Steven;
by brothers Phillip (Katherine) Giangardella and Sam (Mary Helen) Giangardella of Niles, John (Joanna) Giangardella of San Clemente, CA, Anthony (Alice) Giangardella of Lancaster, NY; and her sister, Mary Giangardella, of Niles.

A Memorial Mass of Celebration will be held Friday Dec. 5, 2003 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles. The family requests that contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, 1-800-873-6983, in the memory of Grace Montevideo.
