Gloria B. Swanson

Gloria B. Swanson, 77, of Andover, died Monday, September 8, 2008 at St. Joseph Health Center. She was born April 11, 1931 in Windber, Pa., the daughter of John and Effie (Seese) Swanson.

Gloria had worked as a meat cutter in the grocery business. She enjoyed socializing, eating out, and shopping.

Surviving are her son, Dennis W. Swanson of Brecksville; two nieces, Linda Weston of Andover and Doris Picken of West Jefferson, Ohio; two nephews, Henry and Gary Weston, both of Andover; and a brother-in-law, Charles Weston of Andover. Preceding her in death are her parents; three sisters: Mary Ostrom, Alice Jarmush, and Ruth Weston; and five brothers: Howard, Clarence, Walter, Donald, and William Swanson.

Services will be private. Burial of her urn will take place at a later date at Highland Park Cemetery in Cleveland. Material contributions may be made either to the Andover Public Library, P.O. Box 1210, Andover, Ohio 44003, or to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, Ohio 44406.
