Gerturde Waltman Swanson

Gertrude M. (Waltman) Swanson, age 76, of Hubbard, Ohio, died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles, Ohio, Mrs. Swanson was born in Youngstown, Feb. 16, 1930 the daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (Grayco) Waltman.

Mrs. Swanson was employed by the Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital as an Nurse Anesthetist for 23 years and retired in 1992. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Liberty Ohio and enjoyed reading and church work.

Mrs. Swanson was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Swanson on November 4, 1980 , whom she married April 18, 1969. She is survived by her four daughters: Karen Copenhaver of Hubbard, Esther Silvas of Niles, Leila (Earl) Felicetty of Warren, Paula (Bill) Smith of Warren, two sons: Chester (Carol) Swanson of Ashbough NC, Erron Swanson of Seattle, Wash. 32 Grandchildren, and many loving Great Grandchildren. She has been preceded in death by son Elmer Swanson, daughter Shirley Brown, Son-in -law Guadelupe Silvas and Harry Copenhaver.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 27, 2006 at 1:00 PM from the McFarland & Son Funeral Home 271 North Park Ave. Warren where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by McCardell-White-McFarland Funeral Services, 271 NORTH PARK AVE., Warren, Ohio. Interment will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, Ohio.
