Gerald M. Martin, 43, of Garrettsville, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren after a brief illness. He was born September 12, 1968 in Elkins, W. Va., the son of Donald G. and Sandra (Williams) Martin.

A graduate of Osage (Kansas) City High School, Mr. Martin had a keen intellect for science, and could explain the universe to you. He enjoyed video games, TV, family, telling jokes, and pulling pranks.

Surviving are his father, Donald Martin of Elkins; his mother, Sandra Honeycutt of Southington; three children: Miranda (Brian) Clifford, Christine and Johnathan Martin, all of Garrettsville; two granddaughters, Alana Martin and Elysia Clifford; and a sister, Cassandra (Brad) Jobes of Southington.

His life will be celebrated with a service at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Sharon Charvat officiating.
