Warren, Ohio - George W. Logan, 70, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at his residence under care of his family and hospice. He was born on January 28 1947 in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Harold and Georgia Stamp Logan.
George was employed by Copperweld Steel Corp as a Ladle Man and was a member of several area bowling leagues. He umpired baseball games, mostly at Perkins Park. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and was named MVP in Softball. He loved music and western movies and TV shows.
Mr. Logan served his country in the US Army in the Vietnam War.
Memories of George will be carried on by wife, Bonnie Hall Logan of Warren, daughter, Tamara (Marcial) Logan-Davis of Pittsburgh, son, William Vincent (Sherl) Logan of Virginia Beach, son, Jay (Mamie) Day of Columbus, son, David William Harold (Shemeka) Logan of Virginia Beach, daughter, Latania (Marius) Clark of Warren, son, G William (Amira) Logan of Norfolk, VA, son, Darnell Logan of Atlanta, GA,step- son, Gary Brown of Warren, step-son, Dakota (Tiana) Brown of Ashtabula, sister, Janice Freeman of Columbus, and sister, and Delores Logan of Warren. He also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Holloway and brother, Harold Logan, Jr.,
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 6:00pm till 8:00 pm and an hour before services at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Services will be held at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Cynthia Wade officiating.
