George H. Driskill

George H. Driskill, Jr., 82, of Warren, died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born June 27, 1926 in Darlington Heights, Va., the son of George H. and Edith (Wayne) Driskill

Mr. Driskill served in the U.S. Army during both World War II and the Korean War. He had worked as a groundsman for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 71. A member of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, he also belonged to the Social Central Club.

Surviving are five stepchildren: Frank and James Ciecerko, Sheila (Nick) Perrino of West Farmington, Marie McCune of Wall, Pa., and Charles Daniel Smith of Verona, Pa.; a sister, Maxine Woodard of Gainesville, Va.; and two brothers, Robert D. (Iva Mae) Driskill of Cullen, Va., and Marvin D. (Margie) Driskill of Mt. Airy, N.C. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Angelina (Yoder) Driskill; two stepchildren, Donald Thomas Smith and Lois Frances Smith; and a sister, Audrey Epps.

At his request, cremation is taking place. Services are private.
