Frederick John Bloom, Jr., 61, of Warren, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Hospice House in Poland. He was born July 6, 1949 in Clearfield, Pa., the eldest son of Frederick John and Genevieve L. (Malmberg) Bloom, Sr.
A graduate of the first graduating class of Warren Western Reserve High School, Fred was employed for over forty years at Amweld Building Products. He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling, baseball, and football.
Surviving are his mother, Genevieve L. Bloom of Curwensville, Pa.; three children: Barbara Ann (Tony) Melia of Austintown, Frederick J. Bloom III of Warren, and Terri Ann (Tim) Loomis of El Paso, Tex.; two granddaughters; four grandsons; a sister, Carol (Gary) Smith of Warren; and two brothers, Ben (Bonnie) Bloom of Curwensville and Tom Bloom of Warren. His father precedes him in death.
According to his wishes, cremation is taking place. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. His urn will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
