WARREN - Fred M. Andrews, 83, died peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was born on October 23, 1931 in Highland Park, Michigan, the son of the late Fred and Marian (Wells) Andrews.

He was a graduate of Oak Park High School in 1949 and received his BA from Monmouth College in Illinois in 1953. Fred was employed by Packard Electric Division of GM in sales and procurement for over 32 years before he retired in 1986. He was a long time member of Warren's First United Methodist Church, where served on several church committees.

He was active in multiple school levy campaigns and served as an AARP Tax Guide, LPGA Volunteer, and Republican Precinct Committee Member. Fred enjoyed traveling, golf, computers, cards, tennis and was a member of the Warren Olympic Club. He spent many winters in Arizona with his wife, Nancy.

He served his country in the Army during the Korean War.

Memories of Fred will be carried on by his wife, Nancy (George) Andrews, whom he married on August 14, 1954; sons, Bradley G. (Joanne) Andrews of Boise, ID, and Brian W. (Linda) Andrews of Wadsworth, OH; sister, Winifred Mielchien of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Alex, Ryan, and Lauren. Fred was a great Dad and Grandfather!

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Andrews in April, 2012.

Family will receive friends Sunday March 8, 2015 from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at the McFarland Funeral Home, Warren and one hour prior to the service. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Rick Oaks and Rev. Yesudas Devadan officiating.
