WARREN - Franklin E. English, Sr., 84, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital ER. He was born on July 9, 1930 in Warren, and the beloved son of Milton and Evelyn (Russell) English.
Franklin was a 1949 graduate of Bazetta High School and retired in 1984 as a Supervisor at ITT Grinnell. He served his country during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged from the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant.
He enjoyed carpentry work and built the back patio and kitchen in their home. Gardening was another favorite pastime of Franklin's, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Memories of Franklin will be carried on by his beloved wife, Beverly Ann (Drumm) English, whom he married June 12, 1954; sons, Frank (Cindy) English, Jr., Paul (Linda) English, both of Warren, Michael (Laura) English of Leavittsburg, and Daniel English of Orange Co. CA; daughters, Kathy (Edward) Anthony of Leavittsburg and Caren (James) Steinbach of Fowler; grandsons, Adam English, Scott English, Dennis Ansman, Josh English, Michael English, Jr., Edward Anthony, Jr.; granddaughters, April (Kevin) Newell, Lindsay (Jeff) Gregory, Megan English, Amber Anthony, and Jennifer Walton; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth and William English; and sister, Mary Jane Cuccio.
Family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 10:00 am till 10:45 am at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. A memorial service will start at 10:45 am with Pastor Shannon New-Spangler officiating, with full military honors to follow presented by the American Legion Post #540. A private family inurnment will be at a later date at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
