Frank J. Kaleda, 89, of Bazetta, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at home. He was born January 22, 1919 in East Vandergrift, Pa., the son of John and Kathryn Kaleda.
Mr. Kaleda served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Republic Steel in 1982 after 26 years as a pipefitter.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn R. (Petrosky) Kaleda, whom he married February 5, 1940; three sons: Ronald F. Kaleda of Tulsa, Okla., Richard D. Kaleda of Cortland, and John J. Kaleda of Bazetta; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents and two sons, Terrence J. and Franklin A. Kaleda.
At his request, cremation is taking place. Private burial will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.
