Bristolville, OH - Frank "Ben" Bar, 58 of Bristolville, OH, and Antioch, TN, died in Geneva on the Lake, OH, Thursday, January 12, 2012. He was born November 14, 1953 in Warren the son of the late Joseph Bar and Frances (Czoyiba) Bar Prokay .

Ben was an extraordinary and giving person. He lived his life his own way and lived it to the fullest. His contribution to his friends, family and community was his exceptional gift of wit and humor.

He worked as a Merchant Marine and had traveled the world. Ben was a graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School and had attended Kent State University.

Surviving are his brother, Paul (Michele) Bar, of Bristolville; nephew, Rob Bar of Howland Twp; and great nephew, Matt Miller of Boardman. He was preceded in death by brothers, David and Joseph Bar, and cherished daughter, Angela Bar.

Family and friends will gather informally 5:00 till 6:30 pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. A Celebration of Ben's Life Ceremony will follow at 6:30 pm with the Rev. Eileen McClure officiating.
