Floyd Kyle, 75, of Niles, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at St. Joseph Health Center. He was born April 2, 1933 in Elkins, W. Va., the son of Ezra and Millie (Gillespie) Kyle.
Mr. Kyle was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in the steel industry as a burner. He enjoyed reading, writing, movies, traveling, and gunsmithing.
Surviving are a son, William (Lynne) Hodgson of High Ridge, Mo.; a daughter, Theresa Strouse of North Ridgeville; six grandchildren: Bridgett, Kyle, and Cassandra Hodgson, April and Micheal Bailey, and Madisen Strouse; a sister, Emily "Chris" Lewis of Niles; and a niece, Emily Varner of Champion. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Ellen (Clark) Kyle, whom he married March 4, 1967 and who died January 27, 2003; a sister, Anna Mae Kyle; and a brother, Edward L. Kyle.
At his request, cremation has taken place. Private services have been conducted.
